Just luvin those round printers trays

I really, really love the Twiddleybitz round Printers Trays. So I just had to do another....and I love the way the vintage colors and photos look in this tray. You really must try one of these Twiddleybitz round printers tray's if you haven't already ........They can be inked, papered, painted, gessoed, stamped...and so on.....you get my meaning right ....The possibilities are limitless.....I really enjoyed doing this tray.......and will almost certainly do another.....I think they may make great Christmas gifts........I should start now, I reckon ....LOL.......Have done a few more things for Twiddleybitz but cant show you yet......But if you pop in to the Twiddleybitz stand at the Brisbane Papercraft festival, 17-19 Feb...you will see some new Twiddley Goodness....as well as lots of new samples from the best DT in Oz........Those girls ROCK !!!!!!!

Sure...lets see how long that lasts.......Anyhoooo...here is another OTP....done with Twiddleybitz goodliness.....The NEW circus range of chipboard............Really loved playing with the colors in this.....anyone who knows me, knows that I dont normally use these type of bold colors...but I really love how this turned out !!!!!!!! My 7yo daughters class did a circus performance at her school concert, so I had some wonderful photos to work with....and the NEW twiddleybitz circus chipboard.....was perfect for this....

Well...this is my Floating frame called "A Fairy Teaparty".....made of course ...with Heaps of Twiddleybits .....

This is a list of the products used...and Instructions....

FRA001 1 x Floating Frame

BOR019 1 x Fairy Border

FER02 1 x Fine Fern Leaves Assorted

FER03 1 x Fine Fern Leaves Large

ER004 1 x multi pack fern leaves

Step1

Assemble the Floating frame as per instructions enclosed with the product. Cover the front

and outside of the frame with paper. I have used Webster paper from the Christmas range.

Then paint the inside of the frame, both front and back of the acrylic. Only remove the adhesive

cover from the acrylic after the paint is dry.

Step2

Paint the mushrooms and apply Dimension magic, to create a high shine. Paint the Fairy border

and the single fairy in your chosen colours....and then apply glitter. Leave these all to dry.

Step3

To the back of the acrylic, add some texture by adding some burlap, a little lace and some

white netting. Print poem out onto some white paper making sure the printed part is only

about 3 x 3.5”. But leave extra paper top and bottom, of the print when trimming.

Add two sticks (collected from garden or park) and wrap top and bottom of the poem, then

glueing to make scroll. I also added some gauze and some beads to decorate.

Step4

Start glueing the mushrooms and the fairies, into place in the Frame. Glue some Webster

rosette ribbons (green) in and around the bottom of the frame to represent grass. Position the

poem scroll and glue to the back. Paint birdcage and bird (add a feather if you wish) for wing.

Slightly bend the birdcage so it is curved, instead of flat, and add some ribbon to the top, and

some German Scrap to the bars of the cage.

Step5

Paint all the fine fern leaves, and layer and glue behind the large mushroom. When dry, glue

on beads and some pearl sprays.(used in Wedding decoration). Paint the words, removing any

words not needed. Add glitter and allow to dry. Run the teapot and cups, through the cuttlebug

with an embossing folder to add some texture. Then paint and add some German Scrap, which

can also be painted, then inked to enhance texture.

Step6

Add some prima flowers to the bottom right hand corner. Paint and then glue, 2 x fern leaves from

multi pack,tucked under the flowers. Then position teapot and cups...glue down. Lastly, glue down

the words “Fairy Tea Party”...

So...I hope you you have loads of fun...recreating some of the projects you've seen this weekend.....And somewhere in my blog is a secret word that will be obvious, hopefully to all. Our New Baby ...

Introducing our newest family member.....Tilly.....(the terrible)...LOL She is a bit older a bigger now..than in the picture. But she has bought so much joy and laughter into our house....we can only forgive her for her naughty puppy ways !!!! She is a sock thief.....if you leave them where she an reach them...she's off...and running......stopping to make sure you are still chasing her.....And nooooooo....she doesn't sleep in her basket on the floor next to my bed...like our other dog, Chucky......No no no.....she sleeps on the bed next to me....LOL
But we love her dearly...and she makes us all laugh....even when we sometimes dont really feel like it !!!! She is so loved....and the kids ADORE her....and her funny ways....

I just love the NEW Wishing Wells from Twiddleybitz.....You can make them pretty, or you can grunge them up a bit......I think they'de be great for Wedding bonboniers...or filled with Easter eggs....or little girls hair lackies, or Christmas treats......or cottonballs or even a battery operated candle....gotta be careful with naked flame and chipboard !!!! Hi all....yesss.....I know its been forever since I last blogged......So many excuses.....But the main one...is......a new computer....a new email address....and its just taken me forever to change it ALL over..... I have quite a few new Twiddleybitz projects to show you...but just one for tonight. This is the Twiddleybits shelf with the Funky Church and the miniature houses....There is also a Twiddleybitz gate .....all done in a Christmas theme.....
I love the Funky church....and little houses...any excuse to use them in a project.....LOL Twiddleybitz have soooo... many new things out...will try to show them on a more regular basis....promise !! I will b back...but tonight i have a thumping head......aaaargghh...

Scrapware Birdhouses

Well.....anyone who knows me......knows I just love little birdhouses....Natalie at Scraptivate asked me to do some with last months design team kit... And instead of hanging them beneath each other, I decided a horizontal approach was needed. The papers used were Graphic 45 Springtime, and I also added a prima vine. Soooo...cute !!! Been very busy....loving my job....Natalie is teaching a beautiful NEW journal....It is devine. You must come in and see it....I shall be doing the Wednesday classes...as I will be working during the Saturday classes. AND.........KYLIE will be here soon !!!!! WooooHooooo !!!
A very good friend of mine, managed to snaffle me a ticket.....Have wanted to see "THE KYLES" for years....
We have all really settled into our new house...And it really feels like MY home now....The kids seem to be getting used to the new routine....We also have a new puppy...and she is sooo cute/naughty !!
I will post some pics next time.....Gotta go....I have so much stuff to get ready for Twiddleybitz.....So.......NO HOUSEWORK 2morrow.....Just Scrappin !!!!!

My new start...

Ok....so I know its been awhile......but such a lot has happened over the last coupla months....I have moved out of the family home...
and now have a beautiful rental, just 8 minutes away. The kids love their new rooms, and there a quite a few kids in the street, for them to play with. A very stressful time for everyone, but we are settled and orgainsed, and trying to regain some sort of routine. I have also been working regularly at Scraptivate.....and still loving it.....Getting to know the customers.....so very busy, busy.....But it's ALL good!!!!! I do have quite a few new projects to show....but have only had the internet on for a week and half now.....so still catching up on a lot of emails etc. I am loving being busy, my new found independence, finding my new creative path......and the support of so many friends.
So thankyou......you know who you are.

A change is in the air ....??

Well.....there are changes in the air ...Lots and lots of changes........I've had a few complaints that I haven't updated my blog lately !!!! You know who you are....Lov ya !!!! I have been busy, but a lot I'm not allowed to share yet... And some is for Twiddleybitz...new releases....Secret Squirrel stuff....so nothing to share there.....But this was something I did awhile ago, on a whim.......There you go...have never done anything on a "whim" before !!! I had one of those polystyrene heart shapes from the $2 shop....recessed a little shadowbox into the foam.....paper-mached some music paper onto it......when it was dry I added some Twiddleybitz lovelyness...a little 3D image into the shadowbox...some flowers...and....how sweet.......It's on display at Scraptivate...in case you were interested in a closer look !!! And......I am loving my new job at Scraptivate....and when things settle down again for me....(lots and lots of changes) I am hoping to get stuck into all the ideas, I have floating around in my head !!!!! Another Birdhouse !!!

The lovely Nat, at Scraptivate gave me a Scrapware birdhouse, last month in my DT pack. She knows I have a "thing" for them !!! I loved playing with this...and loved the burlap, the 7Gypsies rub-ons...added some sticks...some handmade clay eggs.....done !!! Please come in and see it IRL....I have messed up...Blogger wont let me upload any more than one photo...

I also have some NEW news....I am now a member of the staff at SCRAPTIVATE !!!!!
WWWWWW HOOOOO.....I've done about 2weeks now....and have just been TOOOooo busy
to blog yet !!!! Natalie is a great boss...and Kelsey is sooo funny !! .I so LUV the shop....love the atmosphere..to work in this industry, is a dream come true. So thankyou Natalie, for trying me out ...I hope I can live up to the "Scraptivate" name.....The shop is fantastic...they have EVERYTHING..and if they haven't got it yet...they will get it for you. So organised !!!
Soooo Tired....I havent worked THIS hard for years....

Sophie's Fairytale

Hello all......This is another 12 x 12 Twiddleybitz frame with LO. I just love the colors in this Graphic 45 range...and when I saw the book on this piece of PP, I wanted to make a 3D book....and so the rest became 3D ....Lots and lots of layers. Also used Twiddleybitz mushrooms...all three sizes, Twiddleybitz alphas and also the Fairy Temple. Have used LOads of foam tape, loads of Kindyglitz...and some pearls. I think it might be a "little crowded" ??? But then again....I never do anything by halves.....

Twiddleybitz at CHA !!

The bosses at Twiddleybitz have given permission for me to tell some exciting news !!!! Twiddleybitz are now available in The US and Canada.....distributed by Select Imports and if you are lucky enough to get to CHA, they are at stand #4418....
This is a 12 x 12 frame I did, using some of the new Doyle border and corners. Before adding these I attached some lace to soften the frame. I have also used some of the new Mushrooms....these come in 3 sizes. I used all three. I have also used some of my favs...the fern leaves and a Victorian fancy oval frame with mirror (up the top RH side). I also added a white Prima vine, some red flowers...and one of the new Faires (hiding behind the red flower)...I loved doing this LO and frame....and am working on another Fairy themed 12 x 12 frame and LO.

My First Dt project for Scraptivate

Well.......I've been given the OK, to show my 1st DT project for Scraptivate. Natalie gave me a great kit, which had in it, a Prima Canvas album. I was a bit nervous at first.....I had never decorated one before (although I do have one tucked away in my stash).....but it was great fun !!!!! Inks, paint....stamps.....ANYTHING....I had a ball !!!! I glued, stamped and stapled on every spare space......
I decided to do a Heritage album....I have loads of Heritage photos.....and have been involved in tracing back, and recording my family History. For me it could be an old song, a whiff of old lavender perfume....or the smells that remind me of when I was little. I remember, many times....Mum cooking something or other, and her saying to me......I remember MY Mum....your granny.... making this when I was a little girl. These are the memories I hold close to my heart.....and having lost, my beautiful Mum, nearly 3 years ago......They are precious to me.....and I want to keep these memories alive for "my" daughter. Now some of the recipes in this book....I probably wont recreate.......such as the "Haggis".....But it is a part of my family Heritage....and needs to be remembered !!!
My Recipe book has many pages....so please call in to Scraptivate to have a closer look........Or if you have a "hankering" for Haggis......feel free to copy the recipe !!! NOT !!!

I am currently working on my next DT project.......and really looking forward to this one !!!!! Its base is one of my favorite things.....
So....when it's finished.....and I get the Ok from the boss......I'll be back to show you.....Meanwhile....have finished a few Twiddleybitz projects, but not allowed to share yet !!!! So ....Bye for now.....

This will be my last post, until after Christmas....I just wanted to say THANKYOU to everyone who visits my blog....and leaves the most beautiful comments. I love to visit you...as well!! I also want to thank Mr and Mrs Twiddleybitz, for giving me the most AMAZING chipboard things to work with. I love their chipboard, and as you can see they are releasing the most Beautiful Gingerbread house. I loved making this...especially all the little details. I cant wait to see what they come up with next.....????

Another blog hop !!

Welcome to another Twiddleybitz blog hop !!! My second.....ever. If you started at the beginning with the lovely Anne-Marie you would have seen how clever and talented the Twiddleybitz DT are !!!! Well it's my turn now....and although I don't have a tutorial for you...I do have some Fantastic OTP Twiddleybitz to show you. The first is an oldie, but a goodie !!!! I think it has so many different uses. How about a Christmas treat train ???? There are Twiddleybitz pieces all over this thing !!!! And LOADS AND LOADS of glitter !!This next piece was made up of leftover pieces of Twiddleybitz....because I sooooo.... wanted to make a wishing well....I would like to make another...maybe Mr Twiddleybitz could be talked into making them.....so we could ALL do a wishing well.....What do you think????

Ok....and last, but not least......Mr and Mrs Twiddleybitz gave me a new product to play with.....I believe they will be available in January. A High Tea Party Set....The cupcake stand, the Menu, the invitations and the single cake stand......I really enjoyed decorating this. I used some beautiful pink/lemon/white paper.....think it was Doodlebug Designs. Some pearls...(lots of pearls!) Painted the base white...covered the three sections in paper.....top and bottom. Added some Prima flowers...different sizes per layer...then added some more beautiful Prima to the base. it also comes with the cutest little teapot/cups embellishments....and cupcakes !!!

My 6YO daughter has put an order in, for one of her own!!!!

Peek Inside Twiddleybitz Christmas window

This is a sample of some new Twiddleybitz goodness !!!! I added a frame (from the Tweenies) to the front to make a paned window.
Then a Xmas tree, a chandelier and a beautiful mirror....all Twiddleybitz...OF COURSE !!!!! And then a fluffy snowman....to the front.
I'm not absolutely sure...but I think theses new 6 x 6 frames may already be available.....they go so well....no matter what theme you
decide to use them for......I am also working on some SECRET SQUIRREL stuff.....but will show you when the boss says its OK !!!!

I just love this time of year....decorations...the shopping, the music...the anticipation....the faces of my cherubs when they open their pressies.....cooking the Xmas fare....getting the reindeer food and Santa's snack....EVERYTHING......But I think I may only get another year or two of "BELIEVING" !!!! SOoooo... Sad .....
And I just love all the Xmas Scrapping !!!!

My Poor neglected Cricut...

I have decided, after much thought, to sell my very neglected Cricut. So if anyone lives in Perth, and wants to buy, a hardly used (could count on two hands the times it's been used) Cricut Expression, with 5 cartridges (2 not used) and a Deep Cut blade. I have very little space to scrap, and use the end of dining table as my "space". So in order to use the Cricut, the kids need to be in bed, dishes done, so that the kitchen bench is clear for me to use it. It is also kept in my room, in a cupboard, all on its lonesome. It is a fantastic machine...but I just do not have the room for it.

The cartridges I have are: Accent Essentials, Plantin Schoolbook, Home Accents, Joys of the Season and Home Decor. As I said.....It's hardly been used....I am asking $650.00 for the lot.

Xmas Table Centrepiece

This is the NEW Twiddleybitz Xmas tree centrepiece. I really love doing Christmas decorations....and this one is easy....and looks great !!! I collect tiny, wee boxes for just this reason. I used some of the small Smartie boxes the kids throw out when they've eaten the Smarties. Some of the small boxes are just chipboard squares, glued together. They look great when they are wrapped, and tied with ribbon. The tree itself was sprayed with TWDLYBTZ colorsprays, and then some glitterspray. The cube was covered with Christmas PP, and decorated with photos of my family. It will look great on the table, on Christmas Day !!!

I have also been working with some NEW TWDLYBTZ, but have been sworn to secrecy !!! But I do have some other "stuff", to show you....but it's still on the camera !!! So I will be back....sooner, than later.....I hope x x x

Steampunk Dreams

Dontcha just luurrrve those Graphic 45 Steampunk papers ????? Hmmmm....Dontcha ??????
And of course, when I got some of the new Cogs and clocks from Twiddleybitz.....I just had to use them together......I'm still recovering from my missing mojo.....Not producing very quickly, at all......but I'm now working on a coupla things........Will see how they go !!!!
I'm not sure if I blogged about it....but we have a new pool.....And we have spent the last couple of weeks in it, now that the weather is warming up. And the kids are loving it!!!!!! Kids are back at school tommorrow.......I'm gonna miss the sleep-ins. But I have lots of organising and cleaning to do....to get ready for christmas. Do you realise it's less than 11 weeks until Xmas......only 7 weeks until the decorations go up !!!!! Oh well....things to do......

Its been a rough coupla weeks....I think my mojo is returning......but oh so slowly !!!
And oh, joy....Beginning of the school holidays, and my 8yo DS gets tonsilitus !!!! Poor luv !!!!
At least he had his birthday the day BEFORE he got sick !!!
I really love the Twiddleybitz Advent house calendars....but I wanted to do one a little different,
this time. So I used a small TWDLYBTZ shadow box, which fits perfectly with the TWDLYBTZ gates.
Also used the new TWDLYBTZ hanging clock, some Nero corners, TWDLYBTZ alphas and numbers.
And of course the Graphic 45 Christmas papers ....I JUST LUV EM.....

This is my second Twiddleybitz Jewel box....and I luv it !!!! I luv the colors and all the bling....and definately the shadow box......
I have used some vintage style paper, German scrap, lace Twiddleybitz hinges (one of my favs) Twiddleybitz hearts (my other favorite)
some vintage doilies, buttons, ribbons, wooden keys. flower, cherub button, vintage pen nib and some decorative pins. Hope you like it....Thanks for looking....

Vintage Christmas wreath

This is a christmas wreath...I did ages ago, before last Christmas...And It's FINALLY been published in the new Scrapbook Memories mag....So I am finally allowed to show it off !!! I loved making this...Although in hindsight...covering the leaves in paper, and sanding and inking ALL the edges, was probably the hard way to to it !!! But I love it !! You know how sometimes..things just come together with no effort !!! This was one of those times. And yet again...Mr and Mrs Twiddleybitz give me the best stuff to play with !!!! Those of you lucky enough to go tho the Perth craft show, at Claremont, this weekend...pop in and see the girls at the Twiddleybitz stand....They are teaching some fabulous classes...and lots of NEW stuff to see. !!!

Here is the latest OTP project I have done for Twiddleybitz...I have had so many wonderful, positive comments about my "Grungy Houses"...so I wanted to do more houses....only the opposite of the rusty/grungy.....So I went with Pink and lacy !!!
I so..... love doing the Twiddleybitz Houses.....maybe its time to do another

A Teachers present...

My DD's teacher is leaving to have a baby, at the end of the week...And Sophie wanted me to make a present for her baby's room.....So I decided to use up some of my huge collection of "To Do Later" projects.....Sophie decided on colors etc, and of course the flowers, and wings....Her teacher seemed to like it....Sophie made her a beautiful card, and she has promised to bring bub in to visit everyone !!!!!

Just a quick share...from the mouths of babes !!!! One night, at the dinner table, we were discussing the importance of good grades leading hopefully, to a good job (to our 14YO). My 7YO DS, announced he was going to get a job, doing exactly what his Dad does !!! My DD, just 6, then announced.....I'm going to do what Mum does....stay home and do craft !!!!!" Well...what can I say...??? I do, do my housework first !!!!

We have a ball.....she loves all the quilts and sewing...and I love all the paper, flower, beads etc etc....I think the SIA should come to Perth....for the little people...not just retailers !!!! Maybe I'll get to go next year...But it's
hard to leave 3 kids and hubby home for all that time....What would they do without ME ?????

Ribbon Storage ??

This is another NEW twiddleybitz product !!!! Anyone else have problems with ribbon storage ??? I dont like to roll them up or have them all tangled....I like them hung on rings.....And of course having a pretty shelf like this in your scraproom would give you heaps of hanging space...plus you can put little bottles of buttons (I have heaps) or other embellishments, on the top....with the hooks underneath. Sorted by color, of course !!!

Finally....something to show you !

I've been given the Ok, to show some of the new stuff I've been working on.....This is a new LO using...one of my fav's....Webster Pages....And of course lots of Twiddleybitz...
Firstly, a beautiful Twiddleybitz Lamp post, the word "Memories", hearts (another simple one...but another fav..I use them heaps), and the Twiddleybitz Cupid love pair. I also used some Prima, some lace, corrugated cardboard, a doily, A Tim Holtz tag and some chicken wire. I love all those rich colors in the Webster Pages...Anyway...I know its been awhile..but I do have other things to show...but I'm under strict instructions...NOT YET !!! So...be patient....I promise there is more to come....And Twiddleybitz have some georgeous NEW stuff on the way !!!
So all you lucky people going to the SIA show...pop in and say Hi to Nic and Andrew !!! Wish it was me !!!

Childrens picture holder !!

This was just a little gift for my nephew, Michael....Such a cutie....For his mum to hang all his artwork on....I HATE stuff on my fridge...But the kids need somewhere to hang their daily creations...and this way they can hang in their room...and not on my fridge.....

Have been very busy creating...but nothing I can show you yet....but I can say...That I have been asked to join the Aussie Scrap Source Design Team.....A great honour...
hope I can meet the high standards....

Small winged shadow box

You've probably seen one of these before...I did one similar, but different, a little while ago....I tried to use the second set of wings to add a bit of dimension to the front of the shadow box...and the wood soaked up the beautiful Twiddleybitz colour sprays...FANTASTIC....I used Antique Gold, Bronze and a little bit of Rainbeetle.
At the back I used a little bit of aged newspaper..some Twiddleybitz hearts, a pen nib, Carolee Creations mini alphas, a flower spray and some ribbon. I added some pearl buttons and some miniature keys to finish....

Would you believe this is the Twiddleybitz advent calender????
This has turned out rather well...I thought !! And what a great way of holding all the household keys...neat and tidy !! So if you have an Twdlybtz advent calender....and you are SOOOOOoo over Christmas...why not try making one of these...
I used some Graphic 45 paper and of course, some of the new Twiddleybitz Nero range.
It's the wrought iron looking die cuts...aren't they georgeous.....cant wait to get my hands on more of them...

WOW....what a christmas....I am soooooo tired....and quite thankful that its over for another year !!
We all had a ball...kids were spoilt rotten....and I loved watching every second. Have another Twiddleybitz project to show you...Tried to do a grungy type one, this time...I still prefer the "Pretty" ones...but am looking forward to
creating with the Twiddleybitz "Funky Town" again. And, I believe there are more in the pipeline...Funky houses...that is !!!! LUV em LUV em... You can also see the NEW Twiddleybitz Trees....they are so dainty and beautiful !!! The whole thing is set int a Twiddleybitz "Floating Frame".

Those of you that know me...may have already seen my birdhouse carousel.....Which just happens to be in this months Scrapbook Creations !!!!! Its a first for me....AND I LOVE IT !!!! So I just thought another quick post, as I removed it from my blog, after two wonderful friends bullied me into submitting it to the mags.....You know who you are !!!!
So Now I've been published !!!! YaY....for me....

I hope everyone had a wonderful, safe christmas.....I had a great couple of days....but am totally exhausted !!!!
I know one little black duck that wont be up late for New Year....

This is the other project I've just finished....These are the new Twiddleybitz "Funky Town Houses". They are just fantastic....and soooo much fun !!! You HAVE to go get some. This was so much fun to make...and I HAVE to make some more....

My kids are sick...AGAIN...They just recently had that awful tummy bug....then a week later Tonsilitus....
So no more school....School holidays started early for them !!! OH JOY !!! Not to mention the cost of three lots of antibiotics....just about sent me broke !!! Not to worry...as long as they're well again for Christmas !!!

Well...have just started another couple of projects...so it might be awhile before there is anything more to show you...With Christmas and everything.....Thats all for now...

This is the canvas with all the new Twiddleybitz, the chandalier, the candlesticks, and the frame (that I used as a mirror). There was more new releases...but not everything would fit on my one canvas.

Ok....now I can show you my latest Twiddleybitz project...Made from the NEW Holly leaves...heaps and heaps of them...just covered with paper and sanded...(yes..sanded EACH and EVERY one...must be mad !!) and layered around an oval canvas....
Enjoyed creating this, just luv the Xmas season...
Now if you are in Melbourne...take yourself down to the Paperific show, and go see Nic and Andrew at the Twiddleybitz Stand. All the new releases are on display...and there is some absolutely ADORABLE mini houses....Cant wait to get hold of them....
Also, some FAB floating frames...gotta get me ome of them as well !!

This is a little Twiddleybitz tabbed book, that I did show some sneak peeks of awhile ago. And as I have nothing else i can show you YET...I thought you might like to see the rest !!! It was a little book I did for my daugter, Sophie. She happens to be very photogenic, and just loves to have her photo taken.....
Its just a little book for her to look back, and remember what some of her favorite things were, at this age !!! The papers were doodlebug designs...and just BEAUTIFUL...

My Favorite !!

This is by far...my favorite....some of you may have seen this before.....Made with five (yes...5) Twiddleybitz gates, chicken wire, and beaded ribbon. I've also added some prima flowers...a little nest made from wire and raffia....and a bird to sit on the nest !!! This was great fun to make...I cant wait to make another...maybe a different color scheme ??

I have some new Twiddleybitz to show you.....soooo.... cute !!! A mini advent house...great fun to decorate and very easy !!! And the Christmas tree would make a great decoration for any house....I am doing another as we speak...Maybe a green/pink color scheme.... I really LUV doing OTP....I still have some more TWDLYBTZ in the pipeline..hopefully finished soon, so I can show you !!! I love working with TWDLYBTZ pieces...they are so easy to decorate any way you wish...there designs are different and clever...and sooooo easy to work with !!!

I have used the new Christmas Bo Bunny papers...Just luv em. Lots of embellies...mainly the Xcellent Twiddleybitz xmas chipboard shapes...their new swirls..some mirrored trees...and some snowflakes. Spent today..finishing off some half finished...almost forgotten projects....Feels good to get them done and given to whom they were intended !!!
Thats all for now...off to make popcorn for the kids....MOVIE NIGHT TONIGHT !!!

Again...just another sneak peek at what I've been working on....I guess I'll find out if I can show you the rest or not ??? Another of Twiddleybitz FANTASTIC bircages...I just love them...and I'm hoping to do some more for my liile girl's room.....
The house is sooooo quiet tonight...Husband away working, no 1 son at a sleepoover...youngest daughter at Auntie Annes's
for a sleepover ( 2nd night )...so just me and my middle boy...How wonderful to have some one on one time with him !!!
It doesn't happen often....and I'm lovin it !!!!

A LO to show you...

Just a quick Lo I did for the shop....I love these Doodlebug Design papers...They also do a beautiful purple range....which I have but not sure what I'll use it for yet !!! I also used my NEW Martha Stewart border and corner punch....Must have more...must have more...they are ALL georgeous !!! I also just love the checkered ribbon...plus this is the first time I have ever sewn on a LO..other than handsewing. Its always too much hassle to get the sewing machine out for one LO. And the photo is definately one of my favorites...of my Sophie...I will probably use this one again....
And One of my favorites...Sandie's String daisies...see my blog list for Sandies blog where she sells them (in all colours) on line....Anyway ...thats all for now...nothing else I CAN show you yet....

But....I can tell you.....I AM on The Twiddleybitz Design for the next 6 months....I have so many ideas...and cant wait to put them all into my designs...Also looking forward to meeting all the other girls on the DT, as Nic, Mel and Sherry have all been very supportive...

A re-do

This si a LO I have recently re-done !!! We've all got them...LO's we HAVE to re-do....These photos belonged to a LO I did about 6 years ago, when I first dabbled with scrapbooking. It just HAD to be re-done, although now that I've done it...not sure if I like it or not.....However...I will not be re-dooing again. I'm finished...the photo's are old and it was pre digital...so to find them again, I will have to wade through the millions of negs scattered throughout my photo boxes. The paper I used is Cosmo cricket (snorkel..I think). Beautiful prima sunflowers, assorted chipboard alpha's covered in wood type paper, some brads and old tag from someone winter jacket. I'm sorry I dont remember what brand the scalloped PP is????
Have been busy...but can't show you anything yet !!!

I am so pleased with how this turned out....I had a few teething problems in the beginning, but a bit of advice from Hubby (in the hardware dept) and I'm glad it's finally finished....I couldn't get my hands on any more birdcages....So I decided to make one. Twiddleybitz make these beautiful arched gates, so I wondered how they would look altogether..AND I luv how they look...The chicken wire on the top was a little problematic, but sorted eventually....I just cant get enough of Twiddleybitz...and I'm working on some more smaller birdcages, as we speak !!! So call back in a few days...I may have some more to show you.....

Vintage Canvas

Some of you ladies, may have already seen this...but I have just finished teaching this as a class...It was so popular, I thought I would show it again. I love doing canvas's, and I love the colours in this one. The paper is Graphic 45 Baby to Bride (can't remember which one). Lots of Collections goodies, flowers, paint, fabric, lace and some vintage paper. I still have nothing to show you yert....but I am busy, busy, busy !!! Soon...I promise !!

I have been sooooo busy this last week....Firstly, as you know...I'm now working. It's only 2 days a week, but I have just been flat out. I also did a class Saturday, which I will post a photo of next time....So, even though I haven't had a chance to scratch myself...I AM LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT !!! I have a few things I've been working on, but nothing finished yet....Hopefully soon...
I LUV Webster Pages....Each and every one !!!! In fact, I think I probably HAVE each and every one !! He He. This is a layout I have done for S2D4....I also tried for the first time, to make my own swirls. It was quite easy really !! Just drew some swirls on some paper, placed a piece of acetate over the top and added the pearls straight on the top. Then I just cut them out and used glue dots to add them to my layout...Done ..

Yes...more Twiddleybitz !!!! This time it's the fantastic Combivan. I LUUUVVVED doing this....And when Mel asked me to do it...I knew right away which photo I was going to use. My Sophie, was only 4 at the time.....she loves the beach and the water. And the combi is oh so typical of the 70's Aussie camping holiday. I love the way it turned out, so I hope Mel and Nic, at TWIDDLEYBITZ like it too.....

More Twiddleybitz

Firstly....I have some great news.....I was offered, and accepted a job in my LSS.....Scrapbooking to Di for. So even though I'm only working 2days a week, already I am finding it difficult to get all three kids (with lunches, reading and news) plus myself ready to go....But I am loving it !!!! To work in the Industry that has become so important to me is just wonderful !!! I have so many ideas, and there are so many things/techniques that I haven't even touched yet...so i am looking forward to doing all these things.....I just hope I still have time to continue my creating, because that is what I truly love to do....

This is another Twiddleybitz product, that was fun to make. The BOY truck...the flame is also twiddleybitz, as is the panther that pops out from the middle of the flame...Haven't done many Boy themed books (even though I have 2 boys) but I really enjoyed this one...so I will definately be making more !!
I have also done the TWDLYBTZ Combi-van....and I LUV how it has turned out...But I just have a few finishing touches, and then I will post a few pictures...
Kids are home from school....so I have things to do....

Here are my latest projects for Twiddleybitz....They were displayed at the craft show, here in Perth this weekend...
I loved using these colours.....different to the usual red & green....I think I'll do another in vintage style...will let you know if and when...They were easy to assemble, and great fun to embellish !!!!

Here is some more Twiddleybitz I have been working on....I really enjoyed making this, and I believe this, plus lots of other things will be displayed at the Twiddleybitz booth at the Craft Fair, that ison this weekend in Perth. Nic gave me heaps of TWDLYBTZ stuff and I have been creating like a madwoman....And loving every minute....Have got soooo many ideas, floating around in my head, at the moment. I cant write them down quick enough !!!! Twiddleybitz really have some amazing stuff, and I think that's why my ideas are so forthcoming....Anyway, I'm covered in ink and glue, so I'm off to continue my projects.....

Prima Page

This is a page I did for Di, at S2D4. It was very hard, as I felt that with the design of the paper, the embelishments should be kept to a minimum. Needless to say....THAT was the hard part. Anyway I used some Prima pearls and a flower vine. The flowers in the corner, were made from ripping circles from cardstock, and adding some paint to the edges....glue one on top of the other, leaving the edges to show.
Add a button for the flower centres, and done.....
However, while applying the pearls I misjudged where the journalling was so some of it is covered by the pearl swirl. But you can just make out the words....

Birdcage with stand

Firstly, I'd just like to say thankyou, to all the visitors to my blog, that left me messages of encouragement and kindness. It has been a hard year, since my mother passed away, but with wonderful friends (like you guys) and family, I will learn to take things, one day at a time.
But, I couldn't let the 1 year anniversary of her death pass, without telling you all, how much she was loved, and how deeply she is missed.....

Ok....enough sadness....onto more creating. This is another project I have just finished, for Twiddleybitz. Just cant get enough of little birdcages. I guess it's about 6 inches tall. Firstly, i gave it a rusty texture and look with embossing powder. Then decorated with lace, flowers and a few embellishments. I just love Twiddleybitz and cant get enough of their products...Am currently working of a couple of things, that haven't quite come together yet....so maybe I'll tell you about them another day !!!

Kids are back at school today. Bless them...love them to pieces, but my routine is
absolutely out the window...Not to worry....have got to go do some housework....then hopefully I can disappear into my little corner to do some more creating !!!!

I miss her soooo much....

On Tuesday 15th July 2008, my wonderful, beautiful mother died. She fought sooo hard, for soooo long. But she just had nothing left......with which to fight. She was only given months to live, when first diagnosed, but soldiered on, through over 7 years of painful and delibitating treatments. She never complained.....she was my best friend. We shared a special bond. I miss our daily phonecalls and the sound of her laughter. She loved us completely, and her grandchildren even more.....

I look back with admiration and respect on the wonderful woman, and mother she was. She always encouraged me, never doubted me and made me believe in myself. She instilled in me the importance of family, hard work and honesty. She shaped me from a shy, awkward girl into a confident, independent adult. When I think of all she has done for our family, all that she sacrificed and all the love she so generously poured from her heart, I feel humbled. This love she gave will live forever within me......

I have a thousand memories that I will cherish forever. And I'm thankful each day for my life's greatest gift: Having her as MY mother.
She will forever be an angel by my side....

Ok, so here are some more sneak peeks of my latest DT project. I love the Twiddleybitz shadow boxes, and they come in different sizes...so very versatile.....Just used some old papers, some corrogated cardboard, lace and a Twiddleybitz picket fence. I added some flowers to the fence and some journalling. There is also more Twiddleybitz on the frame of the shadowbox. I Glimmermisted them and FINISHED....

Some miniatures

Have been working on some tiny little things recently....I love the small details in my scrapbooking, so working on small projects like these are just my "cuppa tea". The blue and white birdcage is only 2 inches tall, and the pink and white shadowbox is only 4 inches....these were some of my design team pieces for Twiddleybitz. Still have some more to do....Cant wait to get started tomorrow. Mmmmm....guess I'll be dreaming of paint, paper, glitter and glue.

Graphic 45 paper

Dont you just love Graphic 45 paper ??? I sat there for ages knowing I WAS going to have to CUT it !!!! You must get at least 2 pieces of each paper as BOTH sides are beautiful....I did some Guest design team work for Twiddleybitz.....just cant have too much TWBTZ...Love it...check out their blog here. These are pages I did a week or two ago...both are photos of my family. The Black/burgundy one is my mum and her brother, when they were small children.
And the other is my Grandfather, Great Auntie May and her sister Netty...They look like street orphans, don't they ???
I love these photos and have wanted to scrap them for ages....

Some news to tell !!....

Well, firstly I wanted to shout out, that one of my OTP projects has been picked up by SM and will be published...My First EVER !!! And I wanted to thank Di and Mel (who submitted it for me) because THEY are the reason it happened....they have also been my coping mechanism for the last year !!! Those that know me, know I lost my beautiful mother nearly 12 months ago...and since then I've found that even getting out of bed, was extraordinary difficult...but Di and Mel, made me realize that it's OK to have a bad day..it's ok to be sad...really sad....and also very normal, after losing ones best friend !!! So I thank them with all my heart...my mum would have loved you both, had she met you !!! So I take each day as they come...knowing that some days will be better than others, and that's fine....So thankyou Di and Mel, you'll never know just how MUCH I luv you guys...I am soooo lucky to have friends like YOU.. Will be in next week with cake...I promise !!!
My second piece of news, is that I have been given a guest design spot with Twiddleybitz...and I LUUURRVVVE Twiddleybitz. One can never have too much chipboard....I have FOUR draws fULL!!!! So I am delighted....I cant show you anything yet !!!! But very soon !!!! I have been a very busy little black duck !!

OK...so I hope you can see some of the detail a bit better!!! The lighting was sooooo... much better. I used some paper mache birdhouses covered in Collections papers, and also some BG Porcelain PP. Some beaded ribbon..Some Collections birds, tree and the gorgeous picket fences..I just loved every minute of this project...and have another similar one, using old chicken wire, on the go !!!! So hope you like this one....will be back with some more later....
